Simple but versatile rotary microtome for uniform sectioning up to 25 microns in step of 1 micron each. The mechanical system encased in a removable cover. Complete with razor (120mm) with back & handle, object holder set of three, honing plate and oil can. Packed in a box.
The unit is fitted with assembly for the perfect cutting edge of the knife of any size up to 300mm. Automatic reversing of the knife takes place at regular intervals for equal bevel angle on both sides of its edge, and the sharpening process is across the full diameter of the rotating plate.
Most elegant and sturdy, latest in the range of Microtomes. Complete with counter balancing wheel, automatic feed mechanism and feed release. Light aluminum cover hinged at back, protects the internal mechanism. Heavy caste base plate fitted with heavy rubber pads to provide better grip. Smooth operation for uniform serial sectioning adjustable from 1 to 50 microns in steps of 1 micron. Feed mechanism is independent of other movements. Supplied complete with one knife, having back and handle in wooden box, 6 block holders, honing plate with abrasive powder, one bottle of lubricating oil and Rexine cover.
It has a compact stirring device utilizing magnetic field (created by a Permanent Magnet) which induces variable speed stirring action. Stirring is accomplished by means of the small Teflon rotor, which when placed to be stirred is capable of rotation by a magnetic field applied from below the container. The unit is fitted with a pilot lamp. Works on 220/230 volts A.C.
