Phrenic Nerve Electrode PI-328

As designed by M. Fordem, the main electrode body  is 11cm and carries a single wire to the horizontal support at the foot. to which the diaphragm  is attached. A fine platinum wire is used to connect the tandon of the diaphragm to the wiring lever, and acts as the second electrode for direct stimulation.

The double pole electrode for nervwe stimulation, is attached to the main electrode body by a clamp, adjustment of which permises the electrode to suit the length of the nerve. ¼” stainless steel support :with connecting terminals.
